I. Sovereign Judgment (Amos 9:1-4)

Principle: God’s Judgment for Sin is Inescapable.
Application: How do you respond to the fact that God will pursue and judge sinners completely? How should you deal with those who are lost and do not know Christ?

⁷and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire,
⁸dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

II. Sovereign Preservation (Amos 9:5-10)

Principle: God will Preserve for Himself a Remnant of Israel.
Application: Who do you know that needs to be part of the saved remnant of God’s people? Who in your circle of influence is refusing to repent?

III. Sovereign Restoration (Amos 9:11-15)

Principle: God will Completely Restore His People Israel.
Application: How do you respond to the fact that God will completely restore the remnant of Israel? Could He also bring restoration to your current situation?

²⁵For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in;
