Lesson Summary:

Paul calls on Timothy to fully engage in the spiritual battle as a wholly committed soldier of Jesus Christ.

Programming Note: I have divided the teaching from II Timothy Chapter 2 in two parts because we have a lot of ground to cover.

In total there are four divisions that I have outlined from this passage.

Principle: Responding to Our Calling Requires True Knowledge of God’s Word.
Application: How diligent is your reading and studying of God’s Word? How are you preparing yourself daily to engage in spiritual battle?

IV. Remove all Hindrances to Success (2:20-26)

Principle: Responding to Our Calling Requires a Determined Pursuit of Righteousness.
Application: How can you become a vessel of honor for the Lord? What attitudes do you need to embrace? What hindrances do you need to leave behind?
