I. The Prayer of the Afflicted (Psalm 102:1-11)

  • Principle: In our affliction we should come before God with an open and honest heart.
  • Application: How honest are your prayers before God? Do you truly pour out your heart before Him?

II. The Hope of the Afflicted (Psalm 102:12-22)

  • Principle: In our affliction we can look at a Mighty and Faithful God to restore our hope.
  • Application: What in your life needs restoration today? Does your hope need to be renewed?

III. The Confidence of the Afflicted (Psalm 102:23-28)

  • Principle: In our affliction we can put our confidence in the Everlasting God.
  • Application: How does  your perspective need to be adjusted to focus on the eternal, immutable God?
